Sundowners

Sundowners are an essential part of the safari experience, and no one knows his way around a bush bar like good ol’ Cobra. Salute the sunset in style with some of his favorite drinks.

Cobra’s G&T Recipe

1) Squeeze the juice of a ½  lime into a large, frozen beer mug (larger than a pint). Leave the fruit in the bottom of the mug. 

2) Squeeze the juice of a ¼  lemon into the mug.  Leave the fruit in the bottom of the mug with the lime; don’t worry about the seeds. 

3) Fill the mug to the brim with ice. 

4) Pour (at least) 2 full shots of gin over the ice.  Hopefully, you’ve had the foresight to chill the bottle.  Don’t over-spend on gin; Cobra prefers Gordon’s Extra Dry, but he’s not picky. 

5) Fill the remainder of the mug with diet (or regular, if you prefer) tonic water and stir gently.

Cobra’s Whiskey Recipe

1) Open bottle.

2) Drink.

Pour in shot glass/tumbler if you’re feeling fancy; if you must, one ice cube or a splash of water is not unacceptable
